Karma to Burn, Old Man Lizard, Sons of Morpheus – London

Old Man Lizard, Sons of Morpheus and Karma to Burn played at the Underworld on Easter Monday.

Old Man Lizard is a trio from Sudbury. Their sound is usually heavy-low although with quite a clean guitar and other musical influences, creating different musical textures. The vocals sometimes reminded me of Max Cavalera, from Sepultura… nice one!

Sons of Morpheus is also a trio, but from Switzerland. Classical rock/blues band, with a main lead guitar and bass+drums creating the core  – think about SRV and Hendrix, cool guitar tone.

Karma to Burn, from West Virginia (US), was the last trio of the night. Instrumental with several cool riffs, almost no guitar solos, developed a continuous flow between songs.

Regarding the photography, that night I decided to use a little of flash to get darkened backgrounds and isolate the main subjects. I usually avoid using flash as it kills the ambient lights, but if used wisely it can create cool pictures, in this case, a perfect match for that night music.
